Caroline stared for a minute then she picked up a napkin and wiped her eyes. She looked at Richard as more tears flowed from her eyes.
"I have been waiting so long for you to say those words." Caroline grabbed Richards hand. "I love you too."
"Truly?"
"Truly." She said and Richard pulled her close to him. As they kissed they heard people clapping around them. It was like they too waited for this blessed union of two lonely souls. Richard canceled their order and walked Caroline out of the restaurant. As they walked down the block two women watched them go.
"Isn't love beautiful." Michelle sighed.
"Oh, yes. Spring is truly here." Nancy concurred. "I only wish Jerry would return my phone call."
"Patience, dear girl! We never thought Richard and Caroline would unite. Anythings possible."
"Yes, anything is possible." Nancy agreed as Charlie passed Michelle.
"Oooh. Sorry." Charlie said as he bumped into Michelle.
"Thats okay." Michelle said as he skated down the block. "He's cute."
