| The wasting of taxpayers money: Weehawken-Hmmm..where shall I start... how about getting monies and using them on things that do not need to be fixed[ just so they will continue to receive it next year, by the way without asking what the towns people would like done with, naturally. Then there are the buildings poppng up like worms after a storm, condos selling from 300,000 to over 1 million, while just down a few houses is a building which - and I am not kidding here folks, is painted hot pink which has over the years turned to a 'dirty' hot pink. All it needs is a few sparkles and that would make a nice go-go- bar.Ug- I call it the 'Pink Monster' and that is being kind. Do they contact the owner and ask him to pease maintain the town's beauty and fix it? If he says he cannot afford it, then offer to use old paint thay may have and paint it? Naaa, that would be too obvious. While the road it sits on is a long hill where people are forced to park because the parking is horriifc, and it is improperly lit. Dangerous? You bet. But naaaaa, who would think of addressing these obvious issues? Not he town. The next town up, WNY had to create a curfew because of it's juvenile crime. It is the one with the [written on home page ] dangerous intersecton problem, It seems the answer to most of their problems to to cover them up with 'aesthetics' the thinking perhaps being, 'maybe if things LOOK nice, no one will notice all of the bad? Of course the MAyor, now also recently voted in Assemblyman, is tooooo busy in Trenton [state capital ] and makes an occasional appearance, so after all folks, keeping 2 political jobs isn't an easy task, maybe we should have pity. |

| Example of the 'BITES' of 'SPIN' they use fluently: "Oh yes, I am aware of it, and I am working on it" "I am taking care of it as we speak" "You will have it-it is on it's way" " and a host of many others although they would much rather avoid these questions all together. "I am constantly trying to improve our town for it's residents by bla bla bla " Meanwhile as this is now one the most 'prime' areas for the ever grownig yuppie population, their priorites are to encourage building of any kind, no matter what the ramifications are. |

| "Good to Seniors? [ Only on their terms...see what I mean... I can only speak for my town, although others are quite similiar EXCEPT for the TIMING-wow- in order to take advantage of the bus to go shopping form the senior building, you must be in the lobby by 9:15am, now this may not seem very early to you working folks, but many seniors and disabled, do not sleep well, or take time to get dressed, eat, etc..They also like to clean and do their chores and have a schedule. But that is not the ONLY thing that happens early in the morning- want to watch a movie? Yes they have a TV in the 'community room' but if you want to catch it-be down there by 9:30- now really tell me, who wants to get ready and rush down and watch a movie at that hour? Do theatres show movies in the morning? No, and there is a reason for it. Although, at lunch time [ where they serve the $1.85 lunches each day, sort of 'glorified tv dinners', they are all together in that same rom. Now tell me, does that not seem like the perfect time to show the movie? Maybe it's me. Perhaps a movie on a full stomach while wide awake creats a problem- it would knock them off their schedule, that might be traumatic- and make too much sense. Same goes for the mall trips and library. Yes, if you are a 'morning person' you luck out-otherwise, you fend for yourself. Of course if they had the bus which passes right by STOP for the seniors and others, THAT might be an alternative? Hmmm I may just be thinking too hard, naaaa... I think it is that they just aren't thinkng at all. |
