Etchings

Hold your head up,
When the pain comes.
"That's okay."
If I had a penny every time I said that,
And didn't want to...
That assertive little kid,
Grew up into a pathetic man.
I lay in my bed,
Waiting for my angel to come to me,
Wondering if she will.
Her absence paralyzes me,
Like air stolen from my lungs.
I need her here.
Demands hardly work on the independants.
So I lay,
And wait
For a miracle,
For the world to change,
Or at least to turn.
Thanks for the memories...

You question me.
You suspect me?
You interrogate me!

You had the gall to sleep in his bed.
You had the gall to keep me in shadows.
You had the gall to say you'd bleed for me!
DO IT!
I know you won't.
You'll tell me what you want me to hear,
Fuck me,
And dissapear for a week.
You love me?
Then love is sharper than the scythe that will strike me dead.
I'll live by lust.
