The Story of
Victoria Anne Fox
Our angels are always watching over us
On June 6th I found out I was pregnant.  I was 296lbs and had just gotten back from a trip to Disney World 2 weeks before.  We were so happy to be able to tell our family that we were exspecting a beutiful baby in January 2000. Even though some of them did not agree with it at the time, through the months we saw a change.  Victoria would be my mothers first grandchild, and the 2nd great granddaughter to my grandmother.  On Jasons  side of the family Victoria would have been the 6th girl.  His whole family is made up of boys.  We were very proud to say that even being overweight, we could concieve a child together.
During my pregnancy I was sick.  I had symtoms from high blood pressure, to excessive swelling of my hands, legs, and feet.  I was also vomiting all day long and was going through alot of stressful things.  My doctor told me that this was very normal exspecially since I was overweight.  This being my first pregnancy, I did not know anything but what I was being told by my doctor, books, and childcare classes.  Not one of them told me anything about what I did end up going through.
On December 7, 1999, I started feeling contractions, I was having pain in my abdominal area and a major headache. I called the doctor and they told me to change my activity, and try to rest.  So I did.  I went to pick Jason up from work on Dec. 8 at about 11pm.  We went to Wal-Mart to get a body pillow to help me sleep.  I started to feel the contractions at the store so I did as I was told and changed my activity and they went away.  When we got home it was about 1am and I went to bed.  I woke myself up at about 2:30 to what I thought was my water breaking.  I ran into the bathroom and found that I was bleeding.  I went back in the bedroom to see if the contractions would stop and in the mean time Jason was trying to get wide awake.  He said that he prayed to God that if something was wrong then to send him a sign.  Well not 2 minutes later I started crying becuase the contractions were hurting so badly.  So we got up called the doctor and drove 50 miles out to the hospital.  We arrived at the hospital around 4am.  By that time my doctor was there.  They checked my vital signs (my blood pressure was 158/120 I think, and I weighed 31lbs), and a heartbeat, and they found there was not a heartbeat..  They did an ultrasound and they saw no movement.  They told us at that time that Victoria had passed away.  After running bloodwork and tests my doctor told me that I had preeclamisia and that it is somewhat like toximia and that I could have dies as well as Victoria.  They then treated me.  After inducing me and giving me an epideral, Victoria was stillborn at 4:32pm.  We got to hold her for about 3-4 hours.  We took pictures of her as well.  Victoria is now buried at Jacksonville Memory Gardens here in Florida, and I hope one day that I can afford to put a headstone on her grave, but for now I just try to keep her memory alive and get through this time of grief.
