When Squaresoft and Disney came together, out of the inferno came Kingdom Hearts, an RPG of synthesized proportions. That is-a game incorporating Disney and Final Fantasy characters together to create a game which tackles the morals of the heart: greed, love, hate, will, and sacrafice. While the game appeals to a younger audience, it is still worth the play by the elders of populace, who will find the fighting style very fun by RPG standards.
The game progresses through different worlds, each like a miniture planet, each with it's own keyhole. The story brings Sora, a boy of fourteen together with long standing Disney characters Donald (a wizard here) and Goofy (a knight of King Mickey) to investigate King Mickey's disapeerance and Sora's quest to find his two greatest friends Rikku and Kairi.
Along the way, the trio meet many interesting "people" who are all in some state of disarry due to underlying factors of the Heartless, the creatures of shadow that plague the worlds and are directed by a committee of evil (who themselves are all Disney villains). As you explore these fantastic places and uncover the mystery surrounding the Heartless, try and brush aside those feelings of hesitation, for a game doesn't have to be anti-Disney to give you a great experience. |
