| Village: The Village is a four-week long international residential camp unique to CISV. Villages consist of delegations of two boys and two girls, all eleven years of age, accompanied by one adult leader. These delegations come from 12-14 different countries. In addition, four to six Junior counselors, aged 16-17, who also come from all over the globe, come together to complete the village structure. The host country provides the staff, who will be both from the hosting country and other countries with CISV chapters. In any event, everyone comes together to participate in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, international camp. |

| Interchange: The only CISV program that is primarily family based. In this program a group of reciprocating pairs of international chapters trade off a delegation of twelve to sixteen year old and an adult leader. The delegation from one country (visiting) goes to the another (hosting) one summer and the visits are reversed the following summer. Most interchanges take place over two years. The families do not receive any fees for hosting. |

| Summer Camp: A three week theme camp for 13 to 15 year olds. There is a stress on leadership at the camp. At this international camp, the age is determined by the hosting chapter. |

| Seminar Camp: A three week camp made up of international members ages 17 to 18. The programs focuses on and exposes ideas and opinions of others from different cultures through interactive activities. |

| Junior Branch: The Junior Branch is made up of the active Chapter participants from age 11 to 25. Junior Branch promotes CISV activities within the local Chapter in order to further the goals of CISV within the community and provide fun and educational activities for the Junior Branch members. |

| Junior Branch provides young CISVers with the opportunity to develop organization and leadership skills, reach out to their local community and have fun with other Junior Branch members who believe that continuing to promote the message of, Peace through Understanding and Friendship is a worthwhile project. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Junior Counselor: A JC is a four week program in which a 16 to 17 years old go to a village. They go the village to bring their positive CISV experiences to the younger children and to help with planning activities. |
||||||||||||||||||||
| Leader: A leader is an adult that is over twenty-one years of age. As a leader you are responsible for your delegation and act as guardian for the duration of the camp or village. |
