| Valley Verzasca is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is a mountain valley next to Lake Locarno, which is in the Swiss Riviera. By car it takes about an hour to get to Sognogno, from Lugano, a charming village where the church above is located. Sognogno sits at the very end of the valley, between three mountain ranges. The river begins to collect in earnest and move through the valley into Lake Locarno. The water is very clear and very cold, although I have not had more than my calves submerged. |
