recommended sites

Below you will find five selected sites that I have reviewed for my class assignment. You will probably notice that these sites contain mostly games and printable activities. This is because my primary interest is in teaching young children.

Crayola has many age appropriate activities for young children, and many of these activities are related to things that children learn in Pre-K. I think it's a great site, not just for the games area, but also for the wonderful activities with printable crafts and activities.
PBS has a massive site where children can play games and find printable activities. This site is very easy to navigate, so children will be able to play independently. The site also provides great information for parents and educators.

Sesame Street has one of my favorite sites for children and their families. The games on this site are very engaging, and include the classics such as matching games and coloring pages, but it also has more advanced activities. This site has a wealth of information for parents and caregivers, and most of the site is advertisement free.

All photos on this site can be downloaded for free from Microsoft.
Learn4Good provides hundreds of interactive, flash enabled games for children. Lessons include all areas of preschool study, including Spanish language lessons.

Preschool Express this site offers plenty of activities and ideas for parents to use at home. Teachers will find a lot of great ideas here too!
