Tai Chi Clsses
Beginning Yang Style Tai Chi
Instructor: Mitch Ellis
In this class you will learn or review the first third of a traditional tai chi form (Cheng Man-Ch'ing lineage), which was developed by martial arts experts to improve their skill. It takes one year to learn the entire sequence. Commitment to regular practice is necessary for participation. Learn or review Beginning Movement through Cloud Hands. [Please note: last half-hour overlaps with Completion/Advanced for qigong and stretching.] Thursdays 5:30 - 7:00 PM
Beginning Tai Chi Fundamentals
Instructors: Craig Zacher & Andy Smith
Laura Rink developed this mind/body program for learning or reviewing
the essential elements of tai chi.
The class includes training in alignment, grounding, core movement
patterns, and a form that progresses from simple to complex.
Commitment to regular practice is recommended for participation. You will
learn the first two sections of the form. [Please note: last 45 minutes
of class overlaps with Ongoing Fundamentals for movement patterns, stretching and qigong.] Monday 6:45 - 8:00 PM

Chi Fundamentals & the ROM Dance

This class features tai chi, qigong, gentle joint range of
motion exercises, group discussion and teatime. Designed for anyone
with painful or limiting health conditions who wants
to share ideas and inspiration. Sliding fees available.

Introduction
to Tai Chi & Qigong

5-Week Class: April 2 - May 7
If you are new to Chinese energetic exercises and wish to learn more
before committing to a full semester, this class is for you. Class includes lecture, discussion, slide and video presentation, and movement instruction. * Special Fee: $65.00

Chi Fundamentals

This class is for students interested in continuing and deepening their
study of movement patterns and the later sections of the Tai Chi Fundamentals
form. [Please note: First 45 minutes of class overlaps with Beginning
Fundamentals for movement patterns, stretching and qigong.] Mondays 7:15 - 8:30 PM
Completion
Yang Style Tai Chi
Instructors: Craig Zacher & Senior Students
This class continues instruction in the Yang Style form, Cheng Man-Ch'ing
lineage. Learn or review Snake Slides Down through Closing Movement.
Advanced students are encourage to retake this class to refine and focus
their study. Mondays 5:15 - 6:45 PM
Completion/Advanced
Yang Style Tai Chi
Instructor: Mitch Ellis
This class completes the Yang Style form, Cheng Man-Ch'ing lineage. Learn
or review Repulse the Monkey through Closing Movement. Excellent review
for advanced students as well as those who are learning the final section
of the form. [Please note: last half-hour overlaps with Beginning Class for qigong
and stretching.] Thursdays 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Yang Style Tai Chi
Instructors: Senior StudentsThe morning class combines qi cultivation, form review, tai chi principles,
& energetics. The evening class focuses on the traditional discipline
of holding postures. It is the most physically demanding of all classes. Tuesdays 9:30 - 10:30 AM - Instructors: Sam Liska & Craig Zacher

Sensing
Hands
Instructors: Senior Students
Traditionally known as Push Hands, this two-person practice enhances skill
in tai chi principles with emphasis on cooperation. Class includes structured
exercises for beginners while allowing time for advanced students to practice
free-play. Tuesdays 7:00 - 8:00 PM. No enrollment necessary.

Tuesdays 5:00 - 5:30 PM.
Instructor: Sam Liska Good Morning Qigong includes sitting, standing and prone movements
and postures which emphasize rooting, centering, opening, feeling qi,
visualizations and meditation. Some classes focus on vitalizing the internal
organs and opening channels. Other classes include lectures, discussion
and practices for clearing emotions and improving relationships. This
course is a foundation for deepening one's qigong practice for self-healing,
enlightenment, and healing others and for more advanced qigong classes
offered in the future. Tuesdays, 10:45-11:45 AM (10 week session) Any six classes: $50; 10
