~Must have lived in the state of Alabama for the past 30 days
~Not enrolled in school (some exceptions)
~18 years of age
 
OR if 16 or 17 years of age and officially withdrawn from public or
  private school, must have two (2) letters:

  1.  Documentation of withdrawal from Superintendent or Headmaster
       of school last attended.
  2.  Notarized letter of permission from parent or guardian.

Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Alexander City (Student Services) - Pre-registration must be completed no later than the Thursday prior to the test date.

Childersburg Campus (Administrative Building) - Pre-registration must be completed no later than the Tuesday prior to the test date.
What You Need to Pre-Register
1. Picture ID (Alabama Drivers License/State ID is preferred
2. Social Security Card
3. Payment:
    $40.00 - Full Test
    $10.00 - Retest for Writing
    $  8.00 - Restes for Literature, Math, Social Studies, Science
                
(Beginning October 1, the fee will increase to $50; $10 per test))
Length of Test
Test day includes 7 hours and 10 mintues of testing. Breaks and a one-hour lunch (11:45-12:45) are scheduled within the day. Testing ends for the day by 5:00 p.m.
When to be Here
Report to the Lobby in the Administration Building on the Childersburg Campus or the Student Services area of the Administration Building on the Alexander City Campus. Testing begins promptly at 7:30 a.m. and there will be NO exceptions for tardiness.

Picture ID must be presented the day of testing.
Retesting
Restes candidates have a waiting period of 6 weeks from the last date tested and need to pre-register prior to each time they test. They may retake the entire test or only the sections needed.

Candidates are allowed to test up to three times a year.
Scoring
ALL tests must be mailed off for scoring. Retests cannot be scored the day of testing. In order to pass, the examinee must make at least a 410 on each individual section of the test AND must have at least a 450 average overall. Please allow three weeks for test results.
