My campaign world is divided up into three active eras. While there are many more eras left to be explored, these are the only ones in use.

The Age of Mordant is during the third cycle of creation, approximately the year 4,200 by elven dating, during the Gods' Ban. It is a time of war. The human land of Mordant has just defended itself from assault by several of its neighbors and is trying to rebuild what is left. The races are fairly paranoid of one another and strangers are unwelcome in foreign lands. The recent advent of gunpowder has not yet had its full impact on how the world works, but every month new ideas spring forth. Two active groups of adventurers live in this era. The first is a group of guerilla warriors trying to raise an army to drive out the entrenched goblin army. The members of the second are royal soldiers on a mission five years after the war that will change the face of the world.

The Age of Findal is during the sixth cycle of creation, approximately the year 9,800 by elven dating, and marks the end of the Gods' Ban. In these days the gods returned to the world in avatar form to once again act on their own behalf. This era is marked with many small groups who shape the world around themselves.

The days of the Hell's Accountants are during the tenth cycle of creation, approximately the year 16,100 by elven dating. The world is a more peaceful place than in the older ages. While warriors still do battle, the world is no longer engulfed by wars. The races are more tolerant of each other. Even adventuring parties rarely feel the need to take up arms. One such party is the Hell's Accountants.
