Harry Houdini of Quicksilver FMX
Harry earned his name shortly after I got him as a puppy in 1998 by executing a miraculous exit from behind a closed door that was also blocked by a puppy gate. Both the door and gate were undisturbed but he was upstairs on my bed when I got home from work!

Harry was born in Provo, Utah, in August of 1998. (See Harry's pedigree
here.) He is a sweet, loving dog with an alternate identity--Harry the flyball fiend. At 9 years old, he is running flyball faster than ever before, topping his personal bests at nearly every tournament. He is astonishingly competitive and can run in the lead-off and clean-up positions on his teams with equal ease.

Harry and I have had a busy flyball career beginning with the Salty Dogzz in Salt Lake City in 2000. In 2002, my friend Gosia and I founded our own flyball club, the
Utah Tail Blazers. Sadly, Harry and I had to leave our friends behind in 2005 when we moved to Austin, Texas.

However, we've since found a new flyball home with Dogz Rule!. Harry earned his Flyball Master Excellent title with DR!--a bittersweet accomplishment surrounded by our new friends and thinking about our old ones.

Harry is currently the top-ranked active smooth fox terrier in North American flyball.
Yes, that is Harry's spit!

Thanks to Mark Fletcher for taking this fabulous photo, November 2005.

Harry clearly making it known that he was not happy to be crossing so many streams in the Utah backcountry.
