The party are traveling in the cart to Altdorf when they come across remains of a carriage
They get out to investigate and a man staggers in and falls dead at their feet with two notes pinned to his back
One is offering a reward for the capture of a wanted criminal known as the Black Arrow, the other (I think) is a quest to find a huge diamond
They decide to stop at the inn (cannot remember name for the life of me) which was mentioned on the note
Walking in they mention the name on the note and are invited into a back room
There is a duke there who hires them to hunt down the leader of the Black Arrows, he tells them that the hideout is in a large castle and that there is a way in via a hollow tree and gives them a silver tray on which to bring back the Black Arrow's head. It turns out that he was the one that the diamond was stolen from and has been unable to get it back
They decide to set off in the morning and go to bed, unfortunately there is a nasty awakening in the night when a bomb in dropped down chimney but luckily everyone hides behind their beds and don't get hurt
Arfalas shoots up the chimney and manages to cut the rope of the assailant meaning that the poor guy falls past the window followed by a length of rope
They decide to follow him as he rides off into the woods and Arfalas tracks him all they way to a large black castle and the hollow tree with secret passage
Sneaking in they check the first room they see and are spotted by four guards and are quickly surrounded as more appear. Instead of a fight they are taken to talk to Black Arrow who turns out to be the original's daughter.
She tells them that all she knows of the diamond is that her father stole and hid it when she was a baby and told her to "use her head"
They are all at a loss but when it is mentioned that her father was good with tattooing needles then Klaus has an idea that a map, or clues might of been tattooed onto her scalp
She's a bit reluctant to have her head shaved but Klaus kindly donates his hat (Arfalas offers to buy him one with two feathers) so she agrees and they find a map tattooed onto her head
Taking a copy they go with a number of the Black Arrows to a waterfall behind which is a small chest with a diamond inside
As they turn to leave the Duke turns up with his men and demands the diamond
Shenta casts a fireball at them, two get burned quiet badly while all that is left of a third are four horse shoes and some smoking boots.
The Duke charges at them and Klaus goes to meet him, swinging his new sword for the first time and manages to decapitate the Duke with one blow, his head landing in the water
Not too surprisingly the Duke's men turn and run for it
Klaus retrieves the Duke's severed head and takes it back to Black Arrow's headquarters where he presents it to the leader on the same silver tray that they were supposed to bring hers’ back on
She's rather taken with this and they disappear together for about 10 minutes and return looking rather tousled.
Anyway then the party leave with their payment and Klaus is told that if he is ever in the area and needs a favor to just ask the Black Arrows.

Kalf stops off at a road-side inn to conduct business while the others journey on ahead. On their way they come across a carriage raided by green skins, it looks like the sort they use to collect taxes so the trio leave the road and head off through the woods, following the trail to a clearing at the top of cliff. There's an ogre, Black Orc Chieftain and a number of orcs and goblins gathered around the chests they stole from the carriage.
Shenta starts it all off by aiming for the ogre, Arfalas kills an archer then takes on another orc with sword, Klaus takes on the Black Orc Chieftain and one of the Orcs.
Somehow in the confusion the Ogre manages to end up going over the cliff (Tom rolled 99 then 100 on Int...oops).
With all the greenskins dead they retrieve the chests to find 500 odd gold that had looted, spliting it between them.
Heading back to the road they find Kalf has caught up with them and journey on till night when they spend the night in a town inn.
Before leaving town they buy a horse and cart, though nobody can actually drive yet Kalf practices as Klaus rides alongside the horse's head incase he needs to grab the bridle.
A few of them notice a ghost-like figure following and draw the other's attention to it. Arfalas and Kalf slip off the cart and follow it into the woods.
Shenta decides to stay with the cart, Klaus stays behind to guard her.
Arfalas and Kalf are led to a camp where they spot a tall female who seems to be ordering a group skeletons around.
Before they can decide what to do Human’s surround them. Arfalas manages to kill two quickly but one runs screaming into camp alerting the others.
Kalf and Arfalas flee back to the road, as they approach the cart, Shenta casts fireballs at Wraith which was what they had originally followed. Managing to kill the Wraith, she finds an amulet which seems to have fallen out of the Wraith.
Deciding it would not be a good idea to stay around they flee along road to a road-side inn and book rooms for the night.
Arfalas stays awake while the others doze in their rooms, they are awoken just after
midnight to gunshot. Arriving downstairs they see the Barman dead and the woman/Necromancer holding a gun and skeletons and human followers crowding into the room.
Klaus goes for skeletons and manages to kills two of them and two of the humans, the others fight valiantly (i.e. I can't remember what happens)
The Necromancer finally flees so they gather together the corpses and burn them on a large pyre, burning barman separately.
Once all that is over the party go back to bed to recover. Early the next morning a number of Highway police turn up to find only a dwarf and elf awake and obvious signs of fighting. Kalf tells them what happened but they are suspicious of him, hearing that there are more upstairs, one a noble, two go upstairs and wake Klaus.
He identifies himself to them, using his signet ring for proof and confirms the Dwarf's story, thanking him they decide not to wake the wizard and go back downstairs. Klaus follows them down where they tell the Dwarf that there has been trouble with Dwarfs in the area recently (Chaos Dwarfs?) and then leave.
Eventually they arrive at
Altdorf.
Shenta and Klaus visit the records office.
Arfalas visits the elf sector.
Kalf joins the dwarves’ merchants guild and goes to buy property on the waterfront
At the records office Shenta asks after her brother Fredrick, and finds address of guy mentioned in letter in Skaven tunnels
Klaus asks for any relatives of one Heidi Strauss (his mother) and finds that she might well be alive and a prostitute, the clerk suggests visiting the temple of Shallya to ask about any offspring she may have left there.
Shenta visits her brother but he is working so she tells him where they are staying and leaves.
Klaus visits the temple, might as well find out where it is now for later need, and finds that there were no children they know of left there.
Meeting back up with the others Arfalas takes Klaus shopping to buy himself a new hat, he wants a nice wide one with two long feathers. Everybody laughs at him but Klaus thinks it's cool so could not care what these uncultured oafs think.
They meet back up with the others in the Head Wound Inn where Fredrick, Shenta’s brother, turns up. Klaus buys a first round as a thank you to Arfalas for the hat.
Seeing as how Fredrick is a local Klaus asks him about the address he was given. It turns out that Fredrick knows Fifi, Heidi’s pseudonym and gives directions. He also gives some more information which Klaus does not really want to know and Klaus is getting a bit wound up by Fredrick’s and Kalf’s comments but is restraining himself as there are ladies present and neither realize who they are talking about.

The following day Klaus follows Fredrick’s directions and finds himself talking through a door. Leaving a message for his Heidi to contact him, not saying who he is but that it is about Hans Von Lieben he heads back to the inn.
Arfalas and Shenta have gone to the
Temple of Shallya to see Shenta's mother, she is part of the choice and they have about half an hour until she is done so they go shopping instead where Arfalas buys herself a dress. Shenta decides she is bored and they head back to the temple where she manages to speak to her mother. She is warned that is she is not careful she is going to end up like her uncle Belling (or something like that).
Kalf does some clothes shopping for himself, getting almost a whole new wardrobe to suit his better Merchant dealings.
Klaus arrives back to find the others there, despite his jaw dragging along the ground when he sees Arfalas in her new clothes he still does not feel like talking to the others so goes up to sleep/sulk/think in his room
Arfalas and Kalf stay downstairs to eat while Shenta gets some reading done, but it is not long before they spot something going into the kitchen and follow, the kitchen is full of halflings, not surprisingly, but they deny anything has gone through. Suspicious they go out the back door of the kitchen into the alley and are ambushed by a ghost and a bunch of human thugs.
Shenta kills ghost almost instantly but the Human's attack.
Klaus hears a commotion and goes to investigate, arriving just in time to kill the final human. Arfalas is cursing wearing a dress instead of her normal leathers, Kalf is also cursing about his new shirt and trousers which now have holes in them and his fingers have nearly been severed. Shenta though has been badly hurt and is lying unconscious on the floor. Klaus covers her with his cloak while an Apothecary is sought. He advises them to go to Shallya and then promptly throws up in the corner. Well Kalf kept demonstrating how loosely connected his fingers were!
They get themselves healed at the temple and leaving Shenta there, Klaus is hesitant about leaving her but decides no harm can come to her there, they go back to the inn to find their rooms have been raided. Despite the mess nothing but seems to be missing except for Klaus’ book of Greg's Anatomy.
Arfalas suggests whoever did this was looking for books, Shenta's in particular, so after changing they decide to move everything to Kalf’s townhouse for safety.
Though not spotting anything on the way when they reach their destination they come across a vampire guarding the door to Kalf's house.
The fight is short and, after nearly dying, Arfalas flees, dragging Klaus with her. Kalf, on the other hand, refuses to run and gets knocked out by the vampire.
Arfalas and Klaus run to the Watch and spend night there, the Watch refusing to go after a vampire at night.
Klaus and Arfalas go to temple next morning to pick up Shenta, after explaining they go back to the house to find no sign of Kalf.
Kalf wakes up upside down in an abandoned
temple of Stigma. Cutting himself down with his knife he lands on his head, so no damage there. He searches the room to no avail until he eventually finds a ring thanks to his magical sense.
He ties it on the door a few times, then searches the alter, finding an likely looking section on the underside. Inserting the ring into the indentation part of the wall opens. He goes through and uses another indentation to close the wall after him. Kalf follows the tunnel until he comes out in the
temple of Shallya.
Seeing no way to trace Kalf or the vampire they reason that if Kalf was injured he would most likely end up at the temple of Shallya they head back there
Kalf greets them, fills them in a little, then asks the head of the temple, Tim, about the tunnel
Tim knew it was there but thought it blocked, exploring back they do indeed find that there is no way through.
Getting directions to the
Temple they head back. With it being securely locked Klaus gives Arfalas a boost up to the window but she cannot lift herself to look in. Swapping places, Klaus pulls himself up to the window and sees everything that Kalf described and also a huge roost of bats in the rafters, including an usually large one.
Seeing as how it is deserted, Shenta blasts open the doors and then fires a fireball at the larger bat, vapourizing the small one next to it and knocking the larger one from his roost.
Landing on it's feet it has transformed into the vampire and they attack, hoping that the sunlight streaming in through the window will weaken it enough.
In the fracas Shenta is killed by the vampire and Klaus finally kills it.
Kalf finds a sword in the pile of dust that was the Vampire and passes it to Arfalas.
After brushing the dust remains of the vampire into the sun they have to deal with Shenta’s corpse.
All her magic belongings are given to the Grey college
Klaus finds 2 handkerchiefs and 5 gold’s worth of jewellery which look damn familiar
Shenta is given a good burial using the gold they found on her, the rest is split amongst the three of them.
The next day, in order to take a break, they visit a travelling circus, not being too happy with the treatment of the animals they see it is all interrupted when an elf, wearing a bear skin, bursts in shouting at everybody in Elven.
Arfalas manages to talk him out of doing anything silly and they all leave, Kalf taking care not to appear too connected to the rest of them and Klaus making sure none of the trainers are after following them.
The new elf, Selor, explains what is going on;
Selor of the Pine Crags of Athel Loren, Caraidh Bruinn had had his animal companion kidnapped by a traveling circus and had tracked it to the city of Altdorf in the Empire and had been about to make his first attempt to free his friend when Arfalas stopped him.
Kalf suggests a couple of lawful methods to get the bear back but they consider that they would take to long. The Dwarf refuses to have anything to do with illegal acts, Klaus thinks it's will be interesting to rescue the bear (good thing he heard it being termed as rescuing not stealing) and agrees to help.
The decide to try and break the bear out that night and sneak him out in their cart.
Their first attempt goes stale with Klaus' bad drunken distraction not working and indeed them injuring him before he even considered pulling his sword. Retreating the elves decide on going over the top of the wagons while Klaus goes and stays by the cart. Unfortunately they both manage to fall not only off the wagons but onto the guards as well.
Klaus hearing the sounds comes running and between them they dispatch the seven guards. Klaus beheads one of his instead of letting him bleed slowly to death.
Klaus and Arfalas manage to break the cage open between them and the four of them escape on the cart out of the city.
Kalf meets them there to see how it went, the rumours he heard in the city identified only an elf wearing a bear skin and had him killing anywhere up to 50 armed guards and he is not happy.
