| Este circo � dirigido pelos filhos da trapezista Ilda Barbosa de Sousa Tavares e Chen Tu-Ching: Miguel (director art�stico), Jorge (director de pista) e Celeste (casada com S�rgio Gottani-director t�cnico). Depois de v�rias digress�es pela Europa, decidiram radicar-se no nosso pa�s (1982) apresentando espect�culos de qualidade internacional, equiparando-se aos gigantes europeus. A sua lona tem capacidade para 3000 espectadores e apesar da diversidade de n�meros, a fam�lia desempenha papel importante nos seus espect�culos num misto de voca��o e gosto pelas artes circenses. Assim, como domador residentetemos Ivan(genro de Jorge Chen) que apresenta cavalos, p�neis, avestruzes, guanaco, yaques e zebu. Depois do casamento de Ver�nica (filha de Miguel) com Fl�vio Dias (circo Atlas) o n�mero das feras ficou a cargo de Ivan. A magia marca tamb�m os espect�culos da fam�lia Chen: Dani (filho de Jorge) apresenta v�rios momentos de ilusionismo durante 2 horas de bom circo! Uma das grandes particularidades deste circo � a inova��o art�stica: a t�tulo de exemplo, veja-se o n�mero de for�as combinadas de Michelle (filho de miguel) e Am�lie que prima pela harmonia de movimentos e original coreografia. Michelle em parceria com Augusto (Chen Bros.) foram galardoados com o clown de Ouro (14 festival Monte-Carlo). De referir que a matriarca Chen acompanha a digress�o do circo. V�rios artistas ifamosos actuaram nesta pista: Peres Bros., Troupe Baltista (b�scula-M�xico), Latinos (barra russa-Cuba), Sebastian (malabarista-M�xico), Montalvo (voadores-Cuba), troupe acrob�tica de Hebei, Trudie Strong (12 tigres do circo Krone), Cristiani (tigres+ligre-M�xico), Duo Borgani (focas e trap�zio), Espiral (b�scula russa-Cuba), Gartners 8elefantes-Alemanha), Iones Togni (elefantes-It�lia), Fam�lia Togni (acrobatas a cavalo) | |||||||||||||||||||

| It's directed by the sons of the flyer Ilda Barbosa de Sousa and Chen Tu-Ching: Miguel (artistic director), Jorge (ring director) and Celeste (married to Sergio Gottani-tecnical director). After many european tournees, they decided to establish in Portugal (1982), presenting such excelent shows as the european giants. Their tent has capacity for 3000 spectators and despite of the acts diversity, Chen family performs many atractions, such as Ivan (son-in-law of Jorge) presenting horses, poneys, llamas, zebu and yaques. After the marriage of Veronica (daughter of Miguel) to Flavio Dias (Atlas circus), Ivan also presents the tigers act. Magic is also present during the 2 hour-show of great circus by Dani Chen (son of Jorge). Circus inovation is also patent in Chen family: for instance, Michelle (son of Miguel) and Amelie are hand to hand equilibrists with an original coreography. Michelle and Augusto (Chen bros.) won the golden clown of Monte-Carlo (14th edition). Ilda Barbosa still travells with the circus. Chen is probably the most international portuguese circus; in its ring, have performed the following artists: troupe Baltista (swingboard-Mexico), Peres Bros. (hand to hand), Latinos (russian board-Cuba), Hebei troupe (acrobats-China), Montalvo (flyers-Cuba), Bilea (swingboard), duo Borcani (sea lions and flyers), troupe Evelyn Marinoff, Espiral (swing-board-Cuba), Mr. Cristiani (tigres and ligre-Mexico), Los Constantin (perchists), G???????????artner's (elephants-Germany), more recently Togni family (acrobats on horses) and Iones Togni (elephants-Italy) | |||||||||||||||||||
