Teas

 

There is nothing more comforting than a hot cup of herbal tea in the Winter, or more refreshing than chilled herbal tea over ice on a hot Summer day.

I suggest making up a batch of any of the following teas, storing and labeling in a baggy or a jar. When ready for a cup-o-tea simply place a teaspoon of the tea in a tea ball or spoon and submerge in a cup of water heated to just boiling. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Sweeten as desired and enjoy, or let tea cool and add ice.

 

Soothing Seas

1 part Lemon Balm

1 part Lemon Grass

1 part Catnip

Mint Relief

1 part Spearmint or Hyssop

½ part Fennel Seed

 

Cold Breaker

1 part Sage

Note: a "part" is usually ¼ cup. Never use more than ¼ tsp of cayenne pepper or you will be very sorry!
