The guys had already played the Warehouse but this time they had better songs and more talent. They were playing with The Gammits MW and Brandtson. After they were done paying tyler double parked and got a ticket so he didn't see much of the Gammits but he still thought they were awesome. A couple weeks later a girl we'll just call her "Flasco" was having a party so the three were going there and decided to pick up joe. they picked him up and went there. it wasn't that good so they had dinner at flying j's.
Stiffed by a Strandberg at the fest...
They had a show at the strawberry fest in alma center and they also had to pay the sound guy. well as luck would have had it - fudd had said he'd pay the sound guy but accidently forgot to mention that he was going to Montana or something that day so if your out there sound guy sorry - we were both stiffed by a strandberg. a couple days later tyler and cory were surfing the web and found that steve had another band. They were detectives! tyler was in nebraska a month before and steve called and said that him and alex had been thinking of cool band names just for fun and one of them was White Dashed Line (cool huh). so tyler told cory this and they went under geocities and found the site. they printed off the homepage and tyler went to tomah to confont steve all he said was where did you get that. This event put circle box in a drought of bassless confusion.
Shows that needed bass......
tyler and cory worked very hard at perfecting their own songs as well as some covers. they played shows with undernothing, the forever forgotten, and something unlike human.
Some messageboard confussion and bullshit.......
What is punk? well alot of people lately in the whole genre have been complete assholes. Punk is the most argued over genre in the whole fuckin' world. You don't see Garth Brooks going up to the Dixie Chicks and saying 'You're a bunch of fuckin' sellouts and you have turned you're back on the country genre. You're not country at all.' Well this happens all the time in punk. A local band's message board had some comments about circle box not being punk and saying they are a cover band and they are posers. Well I'm sorry but if everyone would not worry about what other people think and do then there wouldn't even be the word "poser" in the dictionary because people would be who they are. On another message board some coward signed in as circle box and said that the band that circle box had just played with sucked so the band thought it was circle box saying all that shit when it wasn't.
After almost a year without bass, four people have showed intrest in playing all of the sudden. out of these, Kalla Burke was chosen to be the new bassist of Circle Box (what an honer). Things are good and will only get better.
Unmotivated......
Kalla isn't the bass player of circle box anymore because cory and tyler are very unmotivated. No hard feelings exist between the three and A guy named T-Party has taken over the position. He is the brother of guitar player Cory Renard. They practiced like crazy and are feeling great. They played a gig at Dimensions to break in the new bassist and they were awesome. People were having a good time and of course just like everytime they play Circle Box had a blast.
The Studio (Good bye)......
They are finally done with our cd Have You Seen My Girlfriend? It was a long bumpy road but they put their nose to the grind stone and are now printing them up like crazy. It consists of 14 original tracks including "Could See Her" and "Framed" The guys are very excited about playing and letting the whole world hear their music.
Where The Hell Is Our Stuff????????......
Tyler called Cory up to practice and Cory agreed. Tyler began to drive to the Renard residence. Meanwhile back at the house Cory went to go light a fire because it was a cold winter night. He noticed the room was a little empty and then a furry of frustration and just plain pissed off came over him. The guitar amp, head, guitar, bass amp, bass, snare drum, 3 cymbal stands, and all of the cymbals including the high hat were gone! Tyler pulled up and whistling a Rodger Miller tune walked in the house when Cory said "wipe that smile off your face. Our stuff was stolen!"
