Jean's Sparrows
When once this started, I was weak.
Old friends, and memories did I seek.
My body frail I still don't fret.
Joys of my past are bigger yet.
I see the race I have to run.
The distance is too long.
My life runs short, I've not much time,
Of this I am not wrong.
With open arms and all my strength,
I gather all of you.
To one day meet and see once more
That what we had was TRUE!
My life was once on borrowed time.
But yours are not, don't fret.
Instead embrace each other still
And my purpose will be met.
Like busy sparrows on a tree,
Laugh loud, live long, don't think of me.
I'm watching from above, you see,
I too am chuckling endlessly.
I'm listening to your stories.
Your thoughts, your jokes, your prayers.
When one recalls, one laughs, me too!!!
Don't forget, I was there!!!
Always seek each other out,
Don't let the years and distance fade
The love we thought we once had lost,
The memories we've made.
God works His love as He sees fit.
I'm where I need to be.
His eye is on my sparrows.
And I know He smiles at me.
