CINQUE PORTS VOLUNTEERS 3rd Batn. 11/12th Companies |
Welcome to the home page of the Cinque Ports Volunteers. We are a Living History group and portray life in a volunteer regiment during the Napoleonic Wars (1793-1815). Our purpose is to bring an early nineteenth century experience to life, and to evoke the reactions of ordinary people at a time of war and hardship. We work mostly in the Kent and Sussex areas, participating in ceremonial work for the Cinque Ports as well as providing educational performances at historic sites and schools.
You may also have seen us appear on the BBC programme "Invasion" and the children's programme "Mystery".
