A Quality Assurance Program is established for each project. The program shall identify activities effecting quality and define the authority and responsibility of persons and organizational elements performing these activities The program will comprise of quality effecting activities during planning and design stage as well as construction stage of the project.The basis of the Quality Assurance Program is that QUALITY IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY MEMBER of the project team. The program contains provisions for review and evaluation of the effectiveness of the program in achieving the quality objectives of the project. With design parameters and geo-technical reports provided by clients, CESB engineers, using a computer aided design system, generate the design plan and profile drawings for each crossing. The Quality Assurance Program shall include pipe stress culculations in finalizing the design to confirm that the stresses imposed during construction and in-service are within allowable limits for the grade of material used in pipe selection. |
