Aside from school, I work at USA Children's and Women's Hospital as a student Respiratory Therapist. Which is great, because I get on the job experience, and it pays more than other jobs out there. I used to work in a Photo Lab, and that was great. I'm a Photo Freak, I'm always taking pictures of stuff, and like to experiment with the unobvious. I took a photography class and have some samples of my work here. I just got a digital camera for my snap shots. So much easier to carry around than my SLR.
A few hours a month I volunteer with Contact Mobile, answering phones for Helpline (431-5111) and also as a Rape Crisis Volunteer. When on call for Rape Crisis, I will go to the bedside at the hospital of a sexual assault victim, and be there to lend an ear, answer questions, or just hold their hand. I help to provide resources for those in need, and an open ear for those in crisis. Some people say that it's something they could not do. Believe me, it's hard. Every time I get a call, I have to take a step into someone's grief, loneliness, stress, or fear. Sometimes I even wonder why I do it, but then I take a step back and realize, that if these people can live with these problems and events for the rest of their lives, I can certainly provide a few hours of my time to be someone to help pick them up in their time of need. Dislikes: Chocolate, slow drivers, BAD drivers, Humidity, Rude People, and Broccoli, hearing the same song over, and over, and over again on the radio.
Likes: Cheesecake, driving fast safely, Rainy Days, Sunny Days, and riding in cool cars(if I can't drive them!)
