On the night of St. Andrews Eve, borrow a cup of water from a married neighbor. Add a pinch of earth collected from under an Oak Tree and 2 pear seeds. At midnight, drink the mixture. Go to sleep, and you will see the face of the person you are to marry.
On St. Agnes' Eve, boil a kettle of water and drop 3 garlic bulbs in.
Simmer the garlic for 30 minutes, then remove it. Eat one clove from each
garlic bulb. Go to bed, but before you going to sleep, speak these words:
Dear St. Agnes, hear my plea
Garlic keeps evil from thee
Visit me with a dream tonight
Of my beloved husband/wife-to-be
Dear St. Agnes, hear me
St. Agnes' Night (Jan. 21):
This night should be spent alone. Take 2 needles or pins and 2 of your own hairs...bind the hair around the pins and say:
Sweet St. Agnes, let me see
My husband/wife-to-be this night!
You'll dream of the one you are to marry.
Halloween Spell:
On Halloween night, sometime before midnight...place an offering of wine and 3 hairs from your head in front of a mirror. Light some white candles.
Now turn your back to the mirror and as the clock strikes 12am,
listen for a movement. When you hear it, turn around and face the mirror.
You will see an image of the person you are to marry in the mirror.
Don't freak out when you do...you don't want to scare them off!
