It has a lively, fruity, sweet aroma. It is used to scent fruity and eau de cologne fragrances. Blend with spicy oils for cheering baths. All citrus oils are quick to deteriorate and should be stored in a cool, dry, dark area in full containers. Aromatherapy benefits: cheering, refreshing, uplifting. Traditionally used as an astringent, soothing agent, skin conditioner. Blends well with citrus oils, petitgrain, neroli, orange flower. Orange oil is phototoxic, it should not be applied before going out into direct sunlight. Orange oil can be effective to the immune system for colds and flu and can help eliminate toxins, and as a diuretic it is useful for water retention and obesity. For the digestive system Orange oil can help with constipation, dyspepsia and as a general tonic and is also useful in cases of nervous tension and stress. In vapor therapy or diluted in the bath Orange oil can help with: colds and flu, nervous tension and stress. As a blended massage oil Orange oil can assist with: colds and flu, to eliminate toxins and for nervous tension and stress. Orange oil blends particularly well with: Black pepper, Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, Frankincense, Sandalwood and Vetiver.
