This portrait of Harry Potter originally had a different background intended, but I changed it to a more traditional gothic setting midway through. | After deciding to change the setting, a thick layer of gesso covered up the previous background. The new wall was then sketched in, and painted in layers from light to dark. The clothing and fire were painted in last. | ||||||||||||||||
