The handsome fellow pictured above is the guy who helps me to live life to it's fullest, my sweet husband, Charles. We met online in early July of 2003, hanging out in the (now defunct) MSN CD Chatroom. We really hit off online and went on our first real time date on July 12, 2003. It was a great experience for me, being out with such a complete southern gentleman. He opened my doors (and still does!) and gave me a sweet kiss goodnight at the end of the date. It was every girls dream date...and I continue to live it every day!
After that first date, we spent every moment we could together. It was a little difficult in the early days, though, because Charles worked two jobs and lived 80 miles away from me. However, at the end of December, Charles took early retirement from his primary job, left his second job, and moved in with me. On Christmas day, he presented me with my beautiful engagement ring and asked me to marry him. It might seem quick to some people, but...when it's right, it's right.
Charles is a wonderful man, very sweet and considerate. He is over 6ft tall and a big teddybear. He makes me feel so small and petite when I am on his arm. He is the kind of guy most girls dream of having for their own. He is always thoughtful and cares so much for my happiness. He takes care of mowing the lawn and doing all those "husbandly chores" that I detest. He loves my kitties as much as I do (I dont think I could ever be with someone who didn't, since they are my furry family). In turn, I love his daughters and BOTH of us are so happy that they are accepting of me and their father. Best of all, he loves me as much as I love him.
Before I met him, I felt like there would never be anyone in my life who could understand me and love me for who I am. I found everything I have ever wanted in him and, truth be told, MORE then I ever even dreamed I could have. We have made a life together. I legally changed my last name to his in March of 2004 and I am going to happily spend the rest of my life as his wife.
