INTRODUCTION TO PELVIC FLOOR REHABILITATION
Course Description: This basic level course wil be an interactive program, using both diadactic and laboratory sessions, which will allow participants to learn pelvic floor assessment and treatment techniques used by physical therapists in clinical practice.

Course Objectives:
1- describe the anatomy and physicaology of the pelvic floor and genito-urinary system
2- determine the medical history and symptomology of a patient with pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD)
3- describe the basis for medical diagnosis and treatment for female PFD
4-list the types and eitiologies of PFD
5-demonstrate appropriate documentation, ICD-9 coding, and charging using CPT codes for the evaluation and treatment of patients with PFD
6- correctly perfrom eval-uation and treatment pro-cedures for patients with PFD
7- describe behavioral interventions and neuro-musculo-skeletal interventions for the treatment of patients with PFD
8- list at least 5 approaches for marketing physical therapy treatment programs for women
9- Describe 3 pelvic pain syndromes
