Pancakes
1 cup Sourdough Starter, Amish Friendship Starter, Herman [use whichever you have]
1 cup flour
2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoon oil
1/2 to 3/4 cup milk or water (depending on thickness desired)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
Mix ingedients well. Use 1/4 cup batter per pancake. Bake on greased preheated skillet. 3 minutes until tops are bubbly and edges are light brown. Turn and bake 3 minutes. Makes 10 pancakes.
For a stronger flavor mix sourdough, flour and 1/2 cup water ot milk the night before.
For a sweeter pancake add 1/2 cup sugar to mix.
