CBQ'S ARABIANS' bloodlines are founded upon the great *BASK. *BASK was not only a legendary Arabian in the show ring,but also a legendary sire whose life story is somewhat of a legend in itself! In 1963,he traveled from Poland aboard ship to the U.S. with 14 other valuable Arabians, most of whom also became pinnacles in the Arabian horse scene.(One of these studs was the Nat'l Ch.*Bajram,one of the other reference sires of CBQ'S ARABIANS bloodstock!) 44 days later the horses arrived,after battling stormy and difficult sea conditions including bare minimum feed and water! These survivors were truly miracles! *BASK,upon arrival to Lasma Arabian Stud,started making history with multiple Nat'l Ch.s in Halter and Performance showing. On average since 1980, at least 30% of the Nat'l Halter winners and 50% of the Nat'l English Performance division winners are direct descendants of *BASK! One of *BASK'S most famous sons was BASKE-TU,who sired 15 Nat'l Ch.s himself-he also is a reference sire for CBQ'S ARABIANS! One little known fact regarding *BASK is that he won over $26,000 in race starts in Poland before his arrival to the U.S.!
