Senseless emotions swept away
Memories of the past remembered today
We laughed so hard we almost cried
Our hearts said "hello" when our minds said "goodbye"
The wind echoes your scent left behind
Looking for today, tomorrow we will find
Tear-streaked eyes that never cried
Speechless mouths that always asked "why?"
Dreams that came from sleepless nights
Whatever was wrong always seemed right
Imaginary feelings suddenly real
Hearts we could touch but never could feel
Vines wrapped around a helpless heart
Unknown sorrows that were there from the start
Suddenly searching for a speck of light
Instead found a darkness incredibly bright
Filling up space as it empties out
Laughter and cries danced about
Bringing a life to the darkness
To some love is unknown, but clear to the rest.
