My husband and I have found our "Dream Victorian" home. It has been completely restored so we don't have to do a stitch of work except add our personal touches.  We have searched for several years and waited for "just the right home."

We have just purchased a 12 room Queen Anne Victorian, built in 1902.  The house is quite breathtaking with all its natural woodwork.  There are several parquet floors including an intricately designed one in the cherry entry.  The ceiling of the entry has a painted mural of two angels that  greet you as you arrive through the french doors leading from the vestibule.

The parlor boasts a finely carved oak, corner fireplace.  There are leaded glass windows that also catch your attention while viewing the front porch from the bay window in the front of the house. The light dances across the fabulous parquet floors from a stuning crystal chandelier in the evening.  The pocket doors are made of lustering oak and have cherry veneer on the foyer side to keep the wood appropriate for each room.

The dining room is also lined with oak woodwork and another beautiful fireplace.  All is lit with a crystal chandelier that has matching wall sconced lighting.  The table sits in the middle of yet another patterned parquet floor.  Meals will be a breeze to serve as guests soak up the beauty of this elegant room.

Cooking in the very large, eat-in, kitchen is a snap with all of its modern conveniences, yet is designed and decorated with the the homes history in mind.

The library, which is on the second floor, has built in bookshelves and is a great place to sit and read while absorbing this rooms surroundings.  Some things to take in include the finely carved walls and intricately laid parquet floors of the upstairs hallway, which are viewed through a set of french doors.  Another fireplace catches your attention as well.  There are a total of six beautiful mantels in our home.

Spending an evening on the wrap around porch is one way to unwind before slipping into a nice bubble bath in a clawfoot tub.  After soaking the day away its time to climb into the fresh crisp sheets of our bed in one of this homes 4 bedrooms.

I hope you have enjoyed reading a little about our home.
