| Supplies: 3 Wooden hearts (any size) The ones shown are 4" Raffia Dried flowers Ribbon ~ 1/4" -1/2" wide Leaves ~ dried or silk Paint, acrylic (your choice of color) Paint brush Lace (enough to go around the outside of all 3 hearts) Silk flower buds (coordinating color to go with heart) Glue gun and glue sticks |
| Paint the hearts your choice of color. The ones pictured above are painted with coral. Allow to dry completely. Cut three pieces of lace large enough to go around the outside area of the hearts. (One piece of lace per heart) Hot glue the lace to the outer edge of the hearts. Take about 10 strands of raffia and cut it to a length of 30 inches. Fold the raffia in half at the middle (giving you 15 inches on either side). If you use larger hearts than the 4" ones shown, you will need to adjust the length of raffia accordingly. Tie a piece of raffia around the strands about 2-3 inches from the top of the fold to form a loop for hanging. Glue on a heart just below the tied area. Tie another area off just below that heart and repeat until all hearts are in place. Tie one more piece of raffia just below the last heart. Make bows out of raffia and glue above the hearts and just below the last heart. Cut your ribbon into three 8-10 inch pieces. Form a bow with the ribbon and glue to the center of each heart. Add leaves and silk flower to the center of the bow with hot glue. Glue on dried flowers all around the hearts until you fill to desired appearance. |
