| I spent countless hours growing up writing poetry. After high school I drifted out of the habit. I have missed it over the years and am attempting to pick up my creative thread where I left off. I plan to post here some revised versions of older poems along with new ones. Please enjoy them and feel free to leave comments on my guestbook. |
My Prayer Thank you God for this man beside me as I watch him sleep it's my heart that guides me to say tonight I've gave my heart to this man I gave every part My dearest Lord I completely believe a happy life together we will conceive He sees me as beautiful I see it in his eyes from him my true self there's no need to disguise I feel his strength and passion when he takes me in his arms I feel so precious and cherished when I succumb to his charms He knows my insecurities how tender I can be how my anger flashes when I'm bruised yet still he's here beside me Tonight dear Lord I give my prayer to you For the rest our days may this our love stay true Some neglect their love take it for granted every day I pledge to cherish this gift show him my devotion in every way Now I ask you once again Lord please here the words I pray Let me continue to awake in his arms throughout our tomorrows, in love may we stay |
