| Were the 1920s actually roaring and the 1930s really depressing? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| World War I ended and much of Europe was in ruins. American soldiers returned home and looked to start their lives again. Women began to throw off the confines of the Victorian era along with their corsets. Everyone was learning how to do the Charleston and hiding bootleg wiskey in this age of Prohibition. Not everything was fun and games in the twenties though. The thirties were going to get even worse. Here are some questions to get you thinking about our unit. By the end of our unit you will know the answers to all of these questions and much more. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
