| A Prayer | ||||
| As I kneel down beside my bed. Lord I pray my soul for you too keep. I've been so far away I sought on every side of me yet I found no friends for me to grasp. I looked up above and down below but was too ashamed to tell you so. I slipped down and I cried and still not a soul was there to comfort me. I wept until the evening dark turned into the morning dawn. I shiver in the morning coolness with an empty heart so full of shame Now Father, I come before you I thank Thee Lord, for you have watched and held me through it all. The gift of life you breathed into my soul forever will I cherish |
