Batavia Wiffleball League History
It was a warm June afternoon, the first day of summer in Batavia.  A group of teens was looking for something to do and after a trip to Dick's returned to the Trogden compound with a new stickball bat and wiffleballs.  The concept of wiffleball and a primitive Troglin Field were born that evening.  Some days later the group was looking to play again and sent Josh Davis and Brett Harris to Eastgate to get some supplies.  What they came back with forever shaped the Batavia Wiffleball League.  A trip to Wal-Mart revealed to them a new type of wiffleball, the Stee Rike 3 ball.  That, paired with the implementation of a plastic mock wood wiffleball bat lead to the BWL as we know it today.
