In August of 2000 I had the privilege of participating in the Alliance+ National Internet-in-Education Teacher Training Program. This five-year program, which was funded by a U.S. Department of Education Technology Innovations Challenge Grant, was develolped by the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. My web site was created during the Alliance+ Savvy Cyber Teacher Training. Click on the link below to view a lesson plan I developed as a result of completing the Savvy Cyber Teacher course. In October of 2001, I became an Alliance+ Mentor Teacher. Since then I have had the opportunity to co-train three groups of teachers in the Alliance+ Savvy Cyber Teacher Program. A special thanks goes to Pat Reid, my colleague at Jose Marti Middle School (Hialeah, Florida), who encouraged me to join her as an Alliance+ Mentor Teacher.
