Mary Jo Kubicki
Mary Jo Kubicki is the President of the
University of Cincinnati Equestrian Team. Her riding experience began over ten
years ago because of her brother, Mark Kubicki. She began riding in Dressage and
Barrel Racing. Her brother wanted her to learn to have a good seat in order to
be a competitive barrel racer. After a few years of riding, the Kubicki's moved
from a five acre farm in Oxford, Ohio to a riding facility located in Landen,
Ohio. This facility, Kubicki Equine Centre, is owned and operated by her brother
Mark Kubicki. Over the years Mary Jo has been fortunate enough to ride
with many great trainers; Anke Heller, Christiane Meinholz, and Jerry Schwartz.
Although she loves the challenge of dressage, eventing was a lot more fun.
Competing almost every weekend either at a USDF dressage show, or going to an
event, the Kubicki trailer was rarely at home.
These pictures are of Mary Jo Kubicki and her
old horse Batman Returns. She sold him due to a jumping injury that would not
allow him to pursue dressage any longer.
