Our coaches have put forth a lot of time and
effort to make our team what it is today.
Western Coach - Mary
Huddle. Mrs. Huddle is the owner of Bridle Path Stables. Bridle Path Stables is
the barn in which U.C.E.T. calls "home". Mrs. Huddle is the founding
coach of the University of Cincinnati Equestrian Team.
Hunt Seat Coach - Vance Copenhaver had
the good fortune of "growing up" on horseback. His parents owned
the Miami University Stables and founded the equestrian team there in the
1970's, so there were always 40 or more head to choose from. He was very
active showing from a very young age. Some of his accomplishments include
qualifying for the Quarter Horse Youth World Finals three times and placing at
the Quarter Horse Congress and IHSA National Finals. He started his
coaching career during high school and was able to use that as well as training
horses to put himself through college. He earned his undergraduate degree
from Miami University and a MBA from the University of Cincinnati. He has
worked for Fidelity Investments for the past 11 years where he is a manager.
Vance is married to Heather and has two daughters, Shelby (11) and Jordan
(born in January this year).
