The Rings

Cindy's ring is platinum, with a 2.25 total carat weight.  The center stone is 1 carat

marquis cut diamond and was purchased separately.

Originally the center stone came on a gold solitaire band which had the diamond's

certificate number engraved inside.  That number is now also engraved on Cindy's

ring.  The original band was then sized down and had a .5 carat marquis cut sapphire

mounted onto it.  This ring was given to Shelby (sapphire is her birthstone) when

Chris "proposed" to her, asking her to be his step-daughter.  It is still too large for her

to wear on her fingers so she wears it on a necklace.
