Nerve Root ![]() Lady's Slipper cypripedium pubescens In view of the plant's scarcity, it should not be used medicinally. Leaves and aerial parts induce severe contact dermatitis, and excessive use can cause hallucinations. Tea made from the rootstock of nerve root makes a good tranquilizer for nervous headache, general nervousness, insomnia, hysteria and delerium tremens. It can be helpful against cramps and mucle spasms. INFUSION Steep 5 tablespoons ground rootstock in 1 pint water for 1 hour. Take I tablespoon per hour, as needed. Or use 1 teaspoon rootstock with 1 pint water and take 1 cup daily. TINCTURE Take 5-30 drops, as needed. Taken in large doses the rootstock may cause hallicinations. Source(s)
