Name Tags -
Milda - Anyone wanting a name tag with your name and the serive unit name can let Milda know.  The cost is $4.00 each.

Bank Accounts -
Joyce - She needs your bank account forms with the names of the people that will be signing your checks. The bank will send a representative to our SU meeting so you can sign the signature card. Check your email for this information. New leaders need to get the forms from Janice.

Meeting Places -
Edie - If you need a place to meet, then let Edie know. If it is a school, you will need an application. If you do have a place, let her know that too.

SHARE -
Leslie - She passed out information about SHARE. All new leaders and returning leaders (with Early Bird registrations) received letters and information that needs to go out to your scouts and their families. Any donation is great. We will have a SHARE campaign next February. Anytime a girl turns in $15 she can earn a patch; $15 from grandparents in the girl's name will earn them a special grandparent's patch; and $50 in the girl's name will earn the girl a special birthday patch. A collection jar will be at all of our functions if you would like to donate your change.

Resource Rebates -
Christine - She told us about some of the resources that are available with our Resource Rebates. Each time you come to the meetings and go to trainings you can earn Resource Rebates.

Training -
Joyce - Any training that you complete with the Girl Scouts, in the community or at work can be credited with the Girl Scouts. Please keep track of this and pass it on to Joyce for her records.

Mentor Program -
Melissa - We had plenty of leaders respond to the request for mentors. New leaders have been matched up with experienced leaders. Please see Melissa if you need a mentor book. You may also earn the ELF Pin (Experienced Leader Friend).

Recruitment -
Edie - We will have a Princess Party Recruitment Rally for girls K-4th at Watts. Date to be announced. We will need help.  Let Edie know if there is a girl in your troop that cannot meet on the day your troop meets so that she can place her with another troop.

Delegates -
LaDonna - We need a girl 14 or older and an adult to step up and go to the meetings for delegates from our SU. Any interested adult and girl can contact LaDonna before the Associate Meeting on October 25.

Announcement -
Sher - RACAP is in need of food or money.  If you want to do a food drive at your church or other group, they can use the food.

Upcoming Events -
Leslie - Each month of the school year has an event that is being lead by a different group.

October -
Joyce - 2nd grade troops - Juliette Low Birthday Party gymnastics overnight event will be $15 per girl. She took registration tonight. She needs more moms for the night with the older girls. There are plenty of adults with the younger girls. Pizza and breakfast will be provided. Please bring a canned good or two for RACAP. Each canned good, up to 10, will be exchanged for a door prize ticket. You may bring more than 10 canned goods though.

November - 6th grade troops - We will have a food drive November 3rd  through our neighborhoods for RACAP. It is a scavenger hunt. Check your email and this site for more details.

Cookies - Dave - He has been to several trainings and will go to more in the near future. They went over the calendar and timelines. The council is strict about sticking to the rules. We must follow them or we can lose our priviledge to sell cookies. All leaders and parents, as well as the cookie person from each troop must be trained. We will have first choice of booth locations in this area. You may also participate in the booth draws in San Antonio. Look for more information as cookie time draws near.

SUD Second -
Milda - Next month we will have an investiture ceremony for new leaders. They will receive their Girl Scout Pin at that time. October 1 begins the new scouting year.
Criminal Background Check - All new volunteers need to turn in a CBC immediately. Experienced leaders will also need a CBC, but are asked to wait a month to turn in your forms.
Surveys - All girls and adults need to fill out a survey and bring it to the next Service Unit Meeting. You can also do this online.
Service - Our emphasis this year is on service. We want everyone to know what our girls do in the community. Let Abbie know what noteworthy things the girls in your troop are doing - in and out of Girl Scouts. Sher and Abbie are our PR people.
Meeting Places - Please be mindful of your meeting place. Leave it better than when you arrived. For those of you that use the Schertz United Methodist Church, they are having a
Fall Carnival that everyone is invited to attend and please sign up for a time to help with it also.

MDE Minute -
Janice - She brought flyers about the Syncronized Swimming event and Disney On Ice - High School Musical.
Bank - If your troop has $25 or more, you need a bank account. You need 3 signers on your account including Joyce, CIMASCH Treasurer.
