| Home Welcome to the new leaders with a friendship quilt activity and receiving of leadership pins. FOGS - Leslie passed out the fund raiser envelopes to each troop. We would like to get 100 percent participation in the service unit. Envelopes are due back by November 28 at the latest. Scrapbooking/Juliette Low Event - It was a success. 143 participated in this new event and most of them are hoping that it will continue for the next few years. Food Drive - The Scavenger Hunt Food Drive for RACAP is scheduled for Sat., November 4. We will meet at Watts Elementary at 8:30 AM to receive maps and guidelines. Winter Wonderland - The December service unit event will take place on December 8. We will be in the Watts Elementary Cafeteria from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Each girl should bring an ornament for a gift exchange. Each girl also needs to bring a toy or gift for Toys for Tots. Troops are responsible for refreshments. Families are invited. Contact Sylvia if you need to sign up or need to know what you are bringing. Sylvia also needs to know how many people will be attending - scouts and family. MDE Minute - Janice let us know that the new Leaders Digests for each troop are available. She will have the shop in Seguin open 10:00 - 12:00 PM on Saturdays. Program/training guides for SA Council are available and we are to be accepted on equal terms as all of SA Council troops this year as the changeover will occur next year. SA Council has offered Janice a position as our MDE. She is considering the position at this time. On-Time registration patches were passed out to each troop. "Uniquely Me" patch is available for the scrapbooking event. Bird watching patches are available to those who participated in that event. Platters to hold the 3 collectible tins from the Mint Melt-Aways are available through Janice for $3.00 each. Realignment meetings are happening at the staff level. There will be a welcome celebration for everyone in the new year for the newly aligned council. More to come. SUD Second - Each Troop needs to turn in a troop report every month. |
