Food Drive - Troop 1837 - 15 troops and 100 girls participated to collect 3048 items to be donated to RACAP.  The troop with the most points is Troop 840. They won $25.00 towards a pizza party. The patches are here.

FOGS - Leslie - All envelopes need to be turned in tonight.  Our SU goal is $1470.00 and we have already collected $743.00 with just 9 troops so far.

Fall Products - Noel - Turn in all paperwork tonight.

Cookie Training - Pat - There is a change on our training date.  Saturday, January 6, will be our new date. Please show up at 9:00AM if you are a new cookie parent. Experienced cookie parents can show up at 9:30AM and the booths will be drawn at 10:00AM. We will meet at the Schertz United Methodist Church. Watch your email.

Winter Wonderland Party - Sylvia - Friday, December 8 from 7:00 - 9:00PM at Watts Elementary cafeteria. Our service project is Toys for Tots.  Please bring an unwrapped gift for this charity. Also, you are asked to bring an ornament to be exchanged with the rest of the scouts in the SU. Each troop signed up to bring a food item. Check with your leader for the amount to bring.

Leader Dinner - Edie - Tuesday, December 12, we will meet at Buffalo Country Cafe for dinner. It will be $10.00 per person and will include your choice of a chicken or beef dinner with sides, a drink, dessert and homemade chips before dinner. Be ready to have some fun since we will be playing bunco also. Watch your email.

My Guy and Me - Shannon and Abbie - Saturday, January 13, we will build birdhouses. Each scout and guy will purchase a kit ready to put together. You provide the hammer and screwdriver. We need a headcount and money by December 20 so our dads can cut the lumber and put the kits together for us. Cost will be $5.00 for the kit, a patch, and hot chocolate. You may purchase an additional patch for $1.50.

World Thinking Day - Lana and Michelle - Saturday, February 24, we will have our SU World Thinking Day celebration. We will only focus on one country this year. We need each troop to sign up for a different part of the event - dancers, costumes, Marriachis, etc. The place is not reserved yet. Check back for updates.

Service Unit Campout - Beth - April 27-29 will be our SU campout. Our theme is "Back to Basics". We want troops to sign up to help teach different camping skills to the others. You will need to provide some of your meals. The fee will include a T-shirt (no patch), some meals and the site. Check back for updates.

Bridging - Leslie - We are looking at a Saturday or Sunday in May. The refreshments and theme will depend on whether it is held on a Saturday or Sunday.  We are considering many different areas for the ceremony. If your troop is bridging please come to the meeting January 7 at Taco Cabana at 3:00PM.

MDE Minute - Sally - Scoot Training is set for January 11 and 12.  Sign up now. It is filling up fast and will be opened to others. She has the new Water Wonders Kit available for Jrs.

SUD Second - Tuesday, January 9, we will host San Antonio Council here at the hall. It is an ice breaker for all the SU that will be moving to San Antonio. Please plan to attend.

SU Positions - We have the following positions avaliable at this time: School Liasons, Asst. Cookie Coordinator, Asst. Fall Products, Asst. SUD, people to go to city council meetings.  Please ask the parents in your troop if they would be interested in one of these jobs.

Leadership Pins - You can earn a Leadership Pin and leaves by attending Girl Scout training and training through your work, etc. We will do a mini workshop that you can count towards your Leadership Pin or leaves. Safetywise Scavenger Hunt.
