Bowling - We had 141 participants and filled the bowling alley. The dads had a lot of fun.  Patches are on order and we are working to get you the pictures.

Try-It Day - Troop 1297 held a Junior Badge and Brownie Try-It Day on March 25, 2006.  6 troops were able to participate.  Everything went well.  We are still putting the badge paperwork together and you will receive it in an email.

Awards and Bridging - Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Schertz United Methodist Church.  Please plan to attend this event with your entire family.  This is for all troops!  If you are a leader of a bridging troop, please plan to attend or send a representative to the next planning meeting on Sunday, April 9, 2006 at 3:00PM at Taco Cabana in Schertz.  Let Milda know if you need to work with an older troop for your bridging requirements.

Adult Awards
- let Milda know by April 5, who you would like to nominate for awards.  Look in directions for the descriptions and requirements. 

Youth Sevice Day
- April 22 - The Cibolo park behind Watts Elementary.  Look for more information in an email. Admission fee will be a couple of plants, bird bath, bird house, etc.  We mostly need plants.  We will ask the city to till the areas and ask for mulch and landscaping materials.

Doggy Dash - April 29 - Benefits Schertz Humane Society - They would love to have girls help with registration, cut up oranges and snacks and on the course.  Please be there between 7:00 and 7:30AM at Schertz Pavillion.

MDE Minute
- Janice brought the Early Bird patches and On Time patches.  If you can't remember who gets which patch, then go through your pink copies to check which patch they earned.  May 25 was the Early Bird deadline and October 1 was the On Time deadline.  She also brought the Early Bird packages.  There are no changes.  Please use the pre-printed forms and turn them in by May 26. 
If you are doing any events or meetings of interest between now and April 22, please let Janice know.  If you have a girl that is a ham and may like to say why she likes Girl Scouts, she would like to interview her too.  We also need adults.
Would you be interested in area wide events this Summer?  Contact Janice.

SUD Second
- We need another delegate.  We will ask LaDonna since she had stepped up and showed an interest in the past.  Tammy will take the position of Events Coordinator and Vivian has agreed to be our Registrar.
Check your training schedule for any upcoming training you may need. 
Fall Products Coordinator Training is scheduled for 29 AUG - 7 SEP if someone would like to take it.
Cookie College is 30 SEP.
Service Team Conference is Saturday, 24 JUN.
Tammy has made a calendar for the events for our next year.  Each troop will have a chance to lead an event with all the same age-level troops in the Service Unit.

Day Camp - 14 JUL in Seguin - twighlight camp from 6:00 - 9:00PM - theme: Around Early Texas Time
