CIMASCH Service Unit Meeting Notes
February 28, 2006
American Cancer Society's Relay For Life - May 12, 2006 - Theresa and Kim spoke to us about the Greater Randolph Area's Relay For Life event.  They need volunteers (girls and adults) to come help make luminarias for the event.  If your troop would like to assist and earn some community service hours, please email Theresa.  If you would like to know other ways to get involved, email Milda.

Cookies - None of the troops turned in more than the 3% allowed.  That means that there will be bonus checks arriving in April for troops and the service unit.  Pat has the Troop Balance Sheets.  Please note, the cases you returned will not be reflected in the totals.  If you did not recieve a Troop Balance Sheet, please contact Pat.  All cookie paperwork has to be turned in to Pat no later than Friday, March 3, 2006.

Thinking Day - We had our best turnout yet! We may need a bigger place next year.  The troops helped raise $582.00 for the service unit to donate to the Juliette Low World Friendship Fund.  If you didn't pick up your patches from Terri, please contact her.  If you have any photos of Thinking Day that you would like to share or would like to see on the website, please email them to the service unit.

Try-It Day - Troop 1297 will hold a Junior Badge and Brownie Try-It Day on March 25, 2006.  The event is a Silver Award Project.  It will be held at Schertz Park from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.  Please email Troop 1297 if you would like to sign up or need more information.  Lunch is available for a $2.00 fee.  The event is open to the first 50 Brownies and Juniors.  RSVP by March 15.

Bowling - Troop 1282 needs you to RSVP no later than Monday, March 6 with the list of names (pairs) that would like to sign up for bowling.  You will need to make arrangements to pay the fees.  Checks need to be made out to CIMASCH.  Click here for the flyer and sign up sheet.

Awards and Bridging - Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Schertz United Methodist Church.  Please plan to attend this event with your entire family.  This is for all troops!  If you are a leader of a bridging troop, please plan to attend or send a representative to the next planning meeting on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at 3:00PM at Taco Cabana in Schertz.  Let Milda know if you need to work with an older troop for your bridging requirements.

Youth Sevice Day
- April 22 - The City of Cibolo said, "yes," to the proposed project of fixing up the park behind Watts Elementary.  Look for more information to come.

SUD Second - We need adults to step up and fill some positions in the service unit.  Some positions take less time than others.  We need some delegates that will represent our service unit and be our voice in the council.  Please bring your nominations to the next service unit meeting or send them to Milda.  It can be a parent in your troop.  Please ask around.
We also need someone to take over as Registrar.  Tammy is going to step into the much needed position of Events Coordinator and that will leave her spot at Registrar open.  Please consider taking one of these or any other open job.  You will be notified of any training that you will need to take.

Please check your folders.  We recieved the Spring Green Packs and new Directions.

MDE Minute - Sally is trying to help Janice get all her records straight. There are some troops that either gained or lost money from the end of the 03-04 scouting year to the beginning of the 04-05 scouting year.  Janice nees some documentation on why the numbers are off (took a trip, had a fundraiser, bought patches, etc.).  You will receive and email if you are one of the troops.
Our next CIMASCH Service Unit Meeting is March 21, 2006 at 7:00PM at
