| Before you sign up, there are some rules you must agree to. These are to keep our site clean. Some aren't even rules, just guidelines. Stallions -Stallions are loners unless they claim one of the eight Cimarron territories -To claim a territory, a stallion must be atleast 2 -Okay, unlike the movie, a colt will not immidiately take over his sire's place. You have to claim the land. -No one can have Spirit's territory. -Stallions who do not own territory may not claim mares -As a colt, you leave at age 2 -You may breed at age 3 -You are a stallion at age 4 Mares -Mares must wait on the joining board to be claimed. If you are unclaimed after two days, you may choose your herd, -You may challenge the Lead/Second Mare for her spot with the Lead Stallion's permission -Rain's spot may not be challenged for -You may breed at age 4 -You can challenge for a foal -You aren't allowed to challenge for a foal that hasn't been born -You cannot challenge for 1 out of 2 twins. You must challenge for both if any. -Please don't plea for help in other territories -You can be kicked out -With the stallions permission, you may leave. You must then post on the joining board again. -Fillies must leave at age 2 -Just like leaving, you must re-post -You are fully matured at age 4 Breeding -Long breeding is allowed, but PLEASE don't turn this into horse porn! -The most successful way to breed is through short breeding -No stallions are allowed in the Orchard (they may read posts, not reply) -3 days between breeding -Pregnant mares cannot breed! -Stallions may breed as once a day. -Force breeding is allowed -Mares may put up a fight during force breeding -Stallions that have no territory may breed -Unclaimed mares may not breed -If a mare is waiting (ie *Trots in and Waits for Her Mate*) other stallions may not force breed Territories and Challenges -There are eight territories in HOC -The ninth one (Plains of Eternity) cannot be claimed, as it is Spirit's. -Challenges for territories will be deleted-it's not allowed -Only 10 mares in each territory -Don't get picky about your territory-they are all nice! -If a new Lead Stallion is appointed, the Lead Mare doesn' keep her position -A mare cannot ask to be lead mare -Lead Mares may be appointed on the Becoming board -Mares cannot claim stallions -Stallions may only become second stallion if appointed by lead stallion -If a stallion shows signs of inactivity for 14 days, then he is removed from his honoured position -If the lead stallion leaves, the second stallion mantains his place unless he claims it Seasons The seasons in Cimarron go as follows: Season of Virtues...Spring...Foals Season of Pride...Summer...Foals (early only) Season of Glory...Autumn...Birthing Season of Shock...Winter...Birthing (early only) Other -Seasons are different from those now. There is a breeding season-spring. -Equine only -Swearing will result in a suspension -Limit 3 stallions per player -Be realistic. No serious human actions (shopping?) -Horses may age however the player desires, but please make sure it is known that you've gained years! -We're not blind.
