TEACHERS

Troy Cloney - Coordinator and teacher - was born in Portland, Maine, U.S.A. in 1965 but grew up in Fredericton, a small city
in New Brunswick, Canada where he studied English in the Bachelor of Arts Program at Saint Thomas University. Troy first came to Brazil in 1996 and has been teaching at Universal English ever since. He has been a musician/singer since he was 20 years old and has formed a band called The Folk Fellas and does shows with rock and roll and blues classics. He now holds the position as coordinator.

Genevieve P�pin-Filion (Gene) - teacher - was born in Sherbrooke, a small city near Montr�al, Canada in 1972. She is fluent in both English and French having been raised in the bilingual part of Canada and has earned a degree in Computer Programming at Sherbrooke College. Gene nas taught English and French for many years in Canada, South Korea, Japan and Brazil. She has been with Universal English since 1999
