Combustion Institute ( Indian Section)

The Combustion Institute ( Indian Section ) is affiliated to its parent body “The Combustion Institute of USA- situated in Pittsburgh”. The registered  office of the Institute is situated in Indian Institute of Technology, Madras-Chennai.  

            The main aim of the Institute is to promote the combustion and I.C. Engine related activities in India through conducting seminar, workshop, lectures and by publishing technical papers on combustion and its applications. 

            The first national conference on I.C. Engine and Combustion was held in I.I.T. Delhi. Thereafter 15 more conferences have been held at various places in this country. The recent and 17^th  National conference on I.C. Engines and Combustion was held in KREC Surathkal  from 18-20 December’2001.
