Pets update (as of September 26th 2004): 1 fighting fish, 1 cat, 1 chinchilla, 1 terrapin, 2 bottle-nose turtles, 2 dogs...

 

This is Kilo , my cute little poochy face puppy. This 50kg heavyweight champ has been known to cause disastrous results upon entering my room. I once had shut to him in the toilet as there were guests in the house who were afraid of dogs. They only came to collect something before they went. That was only a mere 10 minutes, but by the time I opened the toilet door, I saw toilet paper strewn all over the place. The floor was wet all over with Kilo's drool, and not only that, the dumb dog was trying to drink water from the toilet bowl after overturning his own bowl of water that I had put out for him.

 

 

 


And this is none other than my loveliest, sweetest, adorable little Chubby! My Christmas present when I was Primary 4, this dog is around 8 years old. That's 56 years old when converted to human years. We've been through thick and thin, and yes, I agree he IS thin. There were a couple of times I thought I'd lost him for good.. Like when he picked a fight with our neighbour's dog that was well 20 times his size, and the other time when he got knocked by a car (or so we thought), but actually he ducked to a corner in the nick of time. One thing you sure don't know about him, is that he snores, LOUD AND CLEAR, and even barks in his sleep when he has a nightmare.

 

 

 

This is the turtle that accidentally landed in the washing machine in a 'freak accident'. Don't worry, no animal cruelty, it is really purely an accident and the little one is now roaming happily and healthily in his very own BIG 2 feet equipped with its own submerged filter tank with driftwood and Beef-heart bloodworm included in its diet, apart from normal terrapin pellets and live small fish to feed on. I've really learnt my lesson after the washing machine incident (as you can see). Anyway, Oscar is fat, and i really mean an F.A.T.. He has so much extra meat that when he tries to hide inside his shell, all his fats just bulge out of the shell while his head/hands/tails/legs are inside the shell.. Imagine that!!

 

 

Big bottle (left) and Small bottle (right) are bought at the same time and were actually the same size . Obviously, you can tell which one has been eating more. Currently they are residing with Oscar in my old fish tank specially tailored for them to sun-tan or go diving or dig under the sand.

 

 

 

This is an unnamed creature that most of my relatives called it "that Mousy-looking thing". It belongs to my brother and lives in his grand looking room all the time. I took care of it for a week when my brother was away for his reservice and. . the only thing I know this creature do was to whine like a little baby when you try to catch him back into the cage. His whine could melt the coldest-blooded human. . probably even Osama himself. Oh, and I don't know whether I should add this but this little bugger loves to crap in his own water dish!

 

The newest edition to the Lim Family is (ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PHOTO). . Mr. Bush. . . or rather, Ms Bush, as she is a female. This lazy pighead does nothing but sleep all day. She also loves doing massages for you. . that hurts more than cure your aching muscles :P A sweet little darling that does not hesitate to bite/scratch/kill should you ever dare to offend/insult/beat/scold/chase her away. What a sweet and adorable little kitten isn't it? So far, her main contribution to the family is that ever since she came, I've never seen lizards/cockroaches in the house anymore.

 

 

 

Last but not least, My Most beautiful QianJing #2, fighting fish given to me on my birthday by Amanda Phang. I had it since it was a baby, look at how big its grown!! I'm so damn proud of it, REALLY AM! :) This little pampered darling doesn't eat your usual red fish pellets, it eats live 'gao sat' (think that is what its called), as well as frozen beefheart and bloodworms. You should see how it eats, exactly the way Qianjing ate in the past. However, Mr Bao Gong Face here is treated much better. I used to use plain pure tap water for Qianjing's water. For him.. No lahz, I don't use MINERAL water, but at LEAST I added anti-chlorine and general anti-prevention medicine and herbal anti-bacteria solution and anti-white spots.. PHEW that's a long list!
