The journey of love,
The growing and nurturing of love
The love that sits in the heart of every man and woman,
Is like the seed of a flower
Waiting to grow and blossom
Into a beautiful creation.
On this journey is the beginning,
The knowing and meeting of the hearts.
As the spring rain gives the seed of the flower
its first drink of life
So is the meeting and knowing of two hearts
Giving the drink of life to a love so new.
As the summer sun warms the root of the flower
to draw life and open its petals for all the world to see
So does the heat of passion
carry the heart and body into one with love.
As the flower savors the gifts of life
of the spring rain and summer sun
and gently nuzzles Mother Earth as fall descends upon it,
so does the love settle in the warmth of the heart
The warmth created by the knowing and meeting
of the heart and through the heat of passion.
As winter descends upon Mother Earth
Chilling the flower with its blustery winds
and blankets of snow
So does the love drawing on the warmth
and gentleness and trust that has grown within
The heart protecting itself
from the cold and cruel distractions of life.
The gifts of warmth, gentleness and truth
That has grown on this journey of love
Holds to itself and lets the journey continue.
For love is a never ending journey of beginnings.
Each day brings love new lessons
To be learned as spring again gives the gifts of life to the flower
and as the flower,
Love gives the world a beautiful and wonderful gift.
