Is It Real

Shes a married woman, but she has a lover
Not uncommon for the times we live in is it?

She awakes each morning with the thought
of his arms holding her the night before
She gets goose bumps as she remembers
the slow trailing of his lips along her neck
She is shaken from her remembering
by the man she calls husband
She rises to begin her daily routine of wife
but thoughts of her lover have left that spot that
makes her woman moist with desire
for the man she calls lover

As her husband leans to kiss her goodbye
she cant help wishing it were he
her lover standing here
for she is sure their passion
would keep him home for a little while longer

She hurries through her daily chores
She and her lover has plans to meet
for what she hopes will be a passion filled afternoon

As the time draws near
her heart is beating faster
her womanhood seems to be on fire
for the touch of him
At last he is here
and as their mind and hearts and bodies
swim through the river of desire
finally exploding through an ocean of ecstasy
she cant help feeling a touch of sadness

She knows that too soon
her lover will leave
and her husband will be home
and her life will again will sit in passionless emptiness
kept warm only with the thoughts
of him

As her lover leaves
There is no need to make the bed of passion
so as to not leave any trace of this adulterous deed
She need only push the power button
For you see this is uncommon
The man she calls lover is but a name
A picture, words typed on the screen
For he lives in the world of cyberspace
So she must hold him in her heart
until the power button is turned on.
